Jacob Chapel believes in the core concept of Matthew 25 which admonishes us to carry out the mandate of Jesus to feed, clothe, house and care for the “least” within our church and our community. Through many partnerships with local agencies, we are afforded the opportunity to serve those in need in various capacities.

Senior Meals
The Senior Meals outreach provides meal assistance to members of the Tallahassee community. Two freshly prepared meals are delivered to 50 seniors each Saturday morning. Those served are members of Jacob Chapel and the community at large.

Clothing Closet
Our on-site Clothing Closet is open to the community Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Free clothing items are available to anyone who needs them. Clothing donations are accepted during Church office hours.

Daily Bread
Through our partnership with Publix Supermarkets, free bread and pastries are made available to the community every Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until resources are gone.

Jacob Chapel Kids Connection
Through the Jacob Chapel Kids Connection (JCKC) Initiative, Jacob Chapel serves as a resource and community partner to Pineview Elementary School. JCKC provides transportation services for Pineview students; recognizes student academic success; participates in mentoring programs and has donated more than $5,000 in school supplies to ensure the students have all of the necessary tools to succeed.

Cold Night Shelter
Jacob Chapel proudly serves as a community partner of The Kearney Center, Leon County’s homeless shelter. When the cold weather necessitates, our doors are opened to provide overnight sheltering to keep those experiencing homelessness, safe and warm.

First Friday Food Giveaway
Every first Friday of the month, our church provides free food items such as produces, breads, meats, desserts and more to the community. Food items are collected from local supermarkets and delivered to us by Second Harvest of the Big Bend.

Ensure Outreach
Jacob Chapel partners with Big Bend Hospice to help meet the ongoing needs of their patients by providing nutritional supplement drinks such as Ensure, Boost or store brand meal replacement shakes. For many, these meal supplements are the only form of complete nutrition patients can consume.

Christmas & Easter Shoppe
Annually, Jacob Chapel hosts an Easter Shoppe in March/April and a Christmas Shoppe in December. Both outreach efforts afford individuals and families the opportunity to “shop” for free items such as clothes, shoes, toys, housewares, appliances, electronics and much more.
